BEAVERTON, Ore. – It’s a tried-and-true tenant of career success: people who love what they do advance more quickly, make more money and tend to find more satisfaction in life. The trick is determining just how your passion and abilities translate into the job market. A new non-credit class offered by Portland Community College offers an opportunity to make that career discovery this winter. Instructor Tanya Maldonado will lead Career Explorations and help students discover what jobs or careers use their special skill set best. Find out what is involved in making a career transition, how to identify and verbalize your transferable skills through assessment testing. Students will emerge with information to take the next step into the career of their choice. The two-day class will meet in Room 1509 at the PCC Washington County Workforce Training Center, 18624 N.W.
