PORTLAND, Ore. – Want to learn French but don’t have time to go to a class? Portland Community College offers a solution: take a French class online. The online Beginning Conversational French, a non-credit class, makes picking up the French language an easy fit into your busy life. Learn how to communicate comfortably with French speakers using dialogue specific to various settings. The class offers practical, common phrases that will make your trip to the many French-speaking regions of the world more pleasant. "This is one of the best online courses I have taken," read a recent student evaluation. "The teaching-sound system was excellent simple, clear, useful. I would recommend this class to the beginner or as a great refresher course to someone who already speaks a bit of French." Held entirely online via the Internet, the six-week class offers the flexibility to open lessons whenever your schedule allows and features discussion boards with the instructor and other students. The class will be offered three times this winter: choose from Jan. 19 through Feb. 25, Feb. 16 through March 25, or March 16 through April 22. Cost is $79.
