PORTLAND, Ore. – Capture the beauty of Portland on paper. A new non-credit class offered by Portland Community College helps you create art based on your favorite places around town. Drawing from Images of Portland is a great way to learn drawing skills while you create an authentic piece of local art. Experiment with your own personal style using colored pencil, graphite, charcoal, and watercolor pencil. Each class session will include demonstrations and personal feedback. Instructor Amy Konsterlie will help set a fun and creative mood enhanced with music. The class will meet from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Thursdays, January 13 through March 3 in Room 239 at Grant High School, 2245 N.E. 36th. Cost is $99.
