Learn wireless networking with PCC online class

Photos and story by

PORTLAND, Ore. – Wireless networking is a hot topic. More and more people want to roam unplugged, so demand for wireless connectivity in homes, offices, and gathering spaces is soaring. This spring, Portland Community College will offer an online class to help you master the technical wizardry of "going wireless." Wireless Networking, a non-credit class, features industry expert David Iseminger as your virtual teacher. By taking lessons on your home computer, you can understand and immediately practice wireless devices, making connections, how connections actually work, and how you can plan, deploy and connect to wireless networks yourself. Held entirely online via the Internet, the six-week class offers the flexibility to open lessons whenever your schedule allows. It also features a discussion board with the instructor and other students. The class will be offered twice, as follows: April 20 through May 27, and May 18 through June 24. Cost is $79.
