PORTLAND, Ore. – Learn how to achieve top search engine positioning with a highly interactive, online course. Beginning this April, Portland Community College will show you which search engines are used the most frequently and which ones you must absolutely get your site listed on. With nearly 90 percent of Web traffic coming from search engines, increasing your ranking on the page is critical. Achieving Top Search Engine Positions will show you proven, step-by-step strategies to achieve the highest possible position with the major search engines. Industry expert Bo Viers will make the class relevant to your current projects. "I am in the process of developing another Web site which will need to have a very high search position and having taken this class will help me achieve that goal," read a recent student evaluation. "I didn’t realize there was so much to achieving high-position ratings." Held entirely online via the Internet, the six-week class offers the flexibility to open lessons whenever your schedule allows and features a discussion board with the instructor and other students. The class will be offered twice as follows: April 20 through May 27, and May 18 through June 24. Cost is $79.00. For more information, contact PCC Community Education at 503-731-6619.
