Young adults get jump on personal finance

ALOHA, Ore. – It’s never too early to get your finances in shape. A Portland Community College non-credit class, especially designed for young adults, takes you through the ropes of personal finance. Take the time to learn what it takes to set financial goals and make a budget to insure financial security in the future with Personal Finance for Young Adults. Instructor Catherine Nicholson will cover the most important building blocks for long-term success including credit cards, checking accounts and basic investing tips. The class is geared toward young adults ages 16 to 29. The one-evening class will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 5, in Room 1540 at the Washington County Workforce Training Center, 18624 N.W. Walker Road. Cost is $19.
