High school counselors to be briefed on PCC process

CASCADE CAMPUS – Local high school counselors will get a first-hand look at what Portland Community College has to offer its students.PCC’s High School Counselor Day will attract between 40-50 counselors for special workshops between 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, April 22 in Terrell Hall 122 on the Cascade Campus, 705 N. Killingsworth St. The annual event invites district-area high school counselors to gather at PCC to get updated information on new programs, changes that may affect the admissions process, requirement changes and ways to better communicate with the college’s admissions offices.PCC District President Preston Pulliams will welcome the counselors in the morning while Algie Gatewood, president of PCC’s Cascade Campus, will host a lunch in the dining hall.
