PORTLAND, Ore. – Turn your dreams into bylines and help yourself to a bright future as a magazine writer. Portland Community College can help you get started with a non-credit, on-line class. If you’re a determined new writer, this class will provide you with the skills you need to get published. Instructor Eva Shaw, a published author and regular magazine contributor, will teach The Craft of Magazine Writing. The class’s online format will allow both the instructor and fellow students to review your work, offering immediate feedback you can turn into finished pieces for magazines. Held entirely online via the Internet, the six-week class offers the flexibility to open lessons whenever you want and features discussion boards with the instructor and other students. The class will be offered Oct. 19 through Nov. 25, Nov. 9 through Dec. 16, or Dec. 14 through Jan. 20. Cost is $79. To register, email ddavis@pcc.edu, or visit www.ourcoursescometoyou.com.
