PORTLAND, Ore. – If you’re interested in learning more about digital cameras, there is no better way to experiment than with online instruction. A non-credit class offered by Portland Community College will help students turn digital snapshots into high-quality photos, which can be refined on their home computer. Instructor Beverly Schulz will teach Discover Digital Photography for both beginners and long-time professionals looking for a complement to traditional photography. Students will learn about equipment, software, digital darkroom, printing, Internet and e-mail use, commercial and personal applications, and more. Held entirely online via the Internet, the six-week class offers flexibility to take lessons whenever and wherever, and features discussion boards with the instructor and other students. The class will be offered Oct. 19 through Nov. 25, Nov. 9 through Dec. 16, or Dec. 14 through Jan. 20. Cost is $79. To register, email ddavis@pcc.edu, or visit www.ourcoursescometoyou.com.
