PORTLAND, Ore. – Make lunch time a chance to recharge your mind while you refuel your body. Portland Community College’s free Downtown Lecture Series returns to the library this October, featuring a whole new slate of dynamic speakers.Bring your lunch and join us Thursdays, Oct. 6 through Nov. 10, from noon to 1 p.m. at the Multnomah County Library downtown, 801 S.W. Tenth Ave. Topics include: Scared Speechless (Oct. 6). Is speaking in public one of your greatest fears? Join Don Wright to learn how to paint verbal pictures for your audience and make your next presentation more successful.Positive Visualization (Oct. 13). Speaker Don Clarkson will teach simple ways to focus your mind and energy to visualize positive life changes.Office Politics (Oct. 20). Re-direct the energy you use stressing and spinning your wheels into achieving your personal goals. Speaker Rob Solomon will explain the simple adjustments you can make daily.Meaningful Relationships (Oct. 27). Success is a hollow achievement without a strong network of support and friendship.
