PCC Foundation stages second golf challenge

PORTLAND, Ore. – The Portland Community College Foundation is pairing up for its second annual PCC Golf Challenge on Friday, Sept. 23. Proceeds will support student scholarships and programs, including equipment purchases.The golf tourney is again set for the Pleasant Valley Golf Club in Clackamas with Bob Walsh, president of Walsh Construction, and Thane Cleland of Cleland Woolworth Capital Group serving as co-chairs. The shotgun start begins at 11 a.m. Presenting sponsors are Walsh Construction, Emerick Construction, Skanska USA and Howard S. Wright Construction."We were able to fill all sponsorship slots," said Cleland. "We will have a full field of 152 players, all to help PCC students and programs."PCC Foundation Executive Director Mike Drake said, "It will be a great day of fellowship, networking and golf, focused on the hard working construction industry and their great support of education."
