The PCC Foundation inspires stories like Anita Bailey’s.

Anita Bailey is pursuing a certificate in juvenile corrections, and then plans to transfer to Portland State University to complete her bachelor’s degree. She received a PCC Foundation scholarship for the 2004-05 academic year.

“To me, your gift represents much more than just a monetary gift. It represents a belief in the promise of equal opportunity. By providing resources to students who need and deserve it most, you are helping to ensure that one’s economic situation is not a barrier to their intellectual growth. Moreover, you’ve shown through your willingness to reward excellence that you believe in the power of education.

“There are no words to express my gratitude for the interest you’ve taken in my personal and intellectual wellbeing, and I take seriously the mandate given to me by such an award.”
