Northview Gallery features 'Moonshine Monks'

PORTLAND, Ore. – Portland Community College’s Northview Gallery is featuring the exhibit "Moonshine Monks", a mixed media show of artists Terri Cutz and Sarah Hall. The exhibit runs from Saturday, Nov. 5 through Dec. 8 at the Sylvania Campus. There will be an opening reception on Saturday, Nov. 5 from 2 to 5 p.m. and an artists’ reception at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Nov 10 in the gallery. Cutz paints in watercolor, egg tempera, and oil paint on a rabbit skin surface. Cutz uses metal elements to serve as decorative hanging devices and design elements in the composition of the painting. Hall examines sacred space with ceramic sculptures of birds in flight, life-sized sleeping figures and tantric egg forms. The Northview Gallery, located in Room 214 of the CT Building of the Sylvania Campus (12000 S.W. 49th Ave.), is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.
