PCC class lets you plan Valentine Day's dinner

BEAVERTON, Ore. – Love is in the air or at least it will be once you’ve prepared this romantic and delicious Valentine’s Day feast. Portland Community College is offering a non-credit class that will take you through all the steps of cooking a very special dinner for your Valentine sweetheart or family. When you are done, you will not only have gained the skills necessary to re-create this feast, but you will also have it fully prepared, enabling to you to really enjoy this special day of love. In Make-ahead Valentines Day Dinner, join chef Shawnee Halligan to prepare and take home a delicious dinner for six to pop in the oven on Valentine’s Day. The menu includes bacon-wrapped chicken breasts, cranberry studded wild rice, and baked vegetables. The one-day class will meet from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 14, in Room 1411E at PCC’s Washington County Workforce Training Center, 18624 N.W. Walker Road. Cost is $50.
