PORTLAND, Ore. – Portland Community College and the World Affairs Council of Oregon have joined together to provide stimulating, topical panel discussions to coincide with the Council’s International Speaker Series. The World Affairs Council is a non-profit, non-partisan educational organization whose purpose is to broaden public understanding of world affairs and to connect Oregonians to the world. Explore the critical connection between maintaining sustainable environments and building democracy in Africa and worldwide. How Journalism Impacts Foreign Policy panel discussion will include local experts. The class will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, March 9 in Room 104 at the PCC Central Portland Workforce Training Center, 1626 S.E. Water Ave. Cost is $19.
