Photos and story by

BEAVERTON, Ore. – Photographing your special events ensures a lifetime of memories, but it takes a practiced eye and a trained lens to really capture the extraordinary moments. Be ready to put your camera to use when those moments come your way. Portland Community College will offer a non-credit class dedicated to teaching students the tricks of chronicling events in a timeless format.

Event Photography will explore how to successfully document events of all kinds including family reunions, birthdays, graduations, parades, public gatherings, concerts, and more. Instructor Sharon O’Keefe will help students develop skills and create opportunities to earn extra money.

The class will meet from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Thursdays, April 6 through May 18, in Room 1535 at the PCC Washington County Workforce Training Center, 18624 N.W. Walker Road. Cost is $120.
