HILLSBORO, Ore. – Love cheese? Open up your horizons and look beyond cheddar and Swiss. This spring, Portland Community College will launch a delectable journey though the world of savory cheese in a unique three-week, non-credit class.

The Best of European Cheese will let you taste cheese country by country! Instructor Christine Hyatt will introduce students to a variety of cheese from mild and buttery to assertive and tangy. Each class focuses on the greatest cheeses from such countries as France, Italy, Spain and Great Britain and includes cheeses paired with accompaniments and wines.

The class will meet from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesdays, April 4 through April 25, at Renaissance Wines, 1320 Orenco Station Parkway. Cost is $109.
