Turn clay into works of art in PCC non-credit class

PORTLAND, Ore. – If getting your hands dirty while transforming lumps of clay sounds like fun, then join Portland Community College this spring for a great introductory class in ceramics. The ten-week class will take students from the basics of ceramic construction to the finished product. Let your imagination run wild and dig in.

Introduction to Clay starts at the beginning with the foundation of ceramics. Instructor Lindsay Allington will cover a wide range of hands-on approaches to classic techniques. Class includes hand building and wheel throwing.

The class will meet from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturdays, April 8 through June 17, in Room MAHB 108 at the PCC Cascade Campus, 705 N. Killingsworth St. Cost is $219.
