ROCK CREEK CAMPUS – It’s almost Mother’s Day and Portland Community College has the perfect gift. The annual PCC Plant Sale provides an excellent opportunity to purchase plants at affordable prices for Mother’s Day on Sunday, May 14.

The annual PCC Plant Sale is held from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Wednesday through Friday, May 10-12 at the Rock Creek Campus greenhouse, 17705 N.W. Springville Road. On Friday, May 12, selected plants marked with a red tag will be discounted 50-percent off, while supplies last.

This year, there will be at least 200 types of annuals, perennials, vegetable starts, fuchsia and other hanging baskets, tropical plants, ground covers, shrubs and more. Prices include $1.50 for 4-inch pots and cell-paks of six, $3 for 6-inch pots, $3.50 for gallon pots and $10 for hanging baskets.

Prices will be posted and proceeds will go to the PCC Foundation for Landscape Technology scholarships to buy equipment and instructional materials. The sale, hosted by the Landscape Technology department, has been a part of PCC for almost 20 years, exhibiting typical Northwest plants and exotic species from all over the world.
