Photograph the Big Apple in non-credit photo class

PORTLAND, Ore. – Join Portland Community College and visit the famous International Center of Photography (IOP) in New York City to see world famous collections of noted artists such as Robert Capa, W. Eugene Smith, Henri Cartier-Bresson, and Alfred Eisenstadt.

In this exceptional tour, New York City (Picture This!), instructor Mike Riches will lead students in viewing the ICP’s archives containing photos, contact prints and notes from some of the great photographers. In addition, students will have an opportunity to shoot "street photography" on their own or in small groups. Cost of class does not include airfare, lodging or food. Tour will take place in the Big Apple from Friday, May 26 to Sunday, May 28.

The two mandatory orientations prior to the trip will meet from 7 to 9 p.m., Thursdays, April 6 and May 18, in Room 131 at the PCC Southeast Center, 2305 S.E. 82nd Ave. Cost is $139.
