PORTLAND, Ore. – Learn the essentials needed to protect your computer. Portland Community College will offer an online class in PC security beginning this spring.

Intro to PC Security explores why you are at risk and what you can do to protect your precious personal and business data. Instructor Debbie Mahlers teaches students how to assess vulnerability, identify weak system links and implement simple solutions.

Held entirely online via the Internet, the six-week class offers the flexibility to open lessons whenever your schedule allows and features discussion boards with the instructor and other students. The class will be offered twice this spring: choose from April 19 through May 26, or May 17 through June 23. Cost is $85. To register, email ddavis@pcc.edu, or visit www.ourcoursescometoyou.com.
