The annual staff and faculty giving campaign has concluded and the PCC Foundation has surpassed its goal of $116,000 by raising $118,225 in funds. The number of staff, faculty donors reached 744 – a big increase from a year ago.
“This is a tremendous achievement that reflects the dedication of our faculty and staff to PCC,” said PCC District President Preston Pulliams. “All of our students and our entire staff are winners with the scholarship and program support secured through the campaign.”
Special thanks to Eddie Lincoln (business services coordinator in workforce development), who served as chair of the campaign and provided leadership and to the campus captains who ensured the campaign was a success. “Thanks, also, to the many department representatives for your hard work dedication,” said Pulliams. “The entire team helped make this campaign a success!”
Pulliams also acknowledged Kendi Esary (Cascade student leadership coordinator) and James Bowles (trainer and education specialist with the Skill Center), co-captains of the Cascade Campus, which saw 76 percent donor participation. “They are and have been the pacesetters in our campaign for many years and continue to lead the way,” Pulliams added.
Campaign totals include: Cascade Campus (116 percent participation/ $24,912 raised); Portland Metro (90 percent/$2,835); Rock Creek Campus (71 percent/$15,902); Southeast Center and Central Portland (66 percent/$6,585); Sylvania Campus (49 percent/$39,588); Capital Center (48 percent/$6,314); and Retirees ($22,089).
“Let us revel in our success for this year,” Pulliams said. “Next year is just around the corner and the Foundation is already gearing up.”
