PCC Travel Fair highlights unique destinations

PORTLAND, Ore. – The Community Education program at Portland Community College will host a Travel Fair from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 23 at the PCC Central Portland Workforce Training Center, 1626 S.E. Water Avenue.
Join PCC travel presenters for a morning of information sessions describing a variety of travel destinations – a great way to get a feel for trips and receive specific travel itineraries. Each session describes a specific travel destination. These non-credit information sessions are free and open to the public.
9 a.m. – Topics include: “Archaeology in Hawaii” (Room 305/led by Alison Stenger); “Greek Odyssey” (Room 302/Gary Palmer); “Habitat for Humanity in Guatemala” (Room 301/Erleen Whitney); “Historic London and Paris” (Room 209/Ellie Burns-Brookens); “Paris for Mothers and Grandmothers” (Room 303/Nancy Horner); and “Study Italian in Italy” (Room 304/Reno Tibke).
10:15 a.m. – “Art and Architecture of Paris” (Room 303/Nancy Horner); “Historic Trail of the DaVinci Code” (Room 209/Ellie Burns-Brookens); “Italy for Mothers, Daughters and Grandmothers” (Room 302/Cecelia Barry); “Jump to Japan” (Room 305/Lynn Geis); “PCC/NW Medical Teams Honduras School Project for Educators” (Room 301/Kristen Clark); and “Study Spanish in Costa Rica” (Room 304/Reno Tibke).
11:30 a.m. – “Explore Israel with a Native” (Room 304/Tsipora Dimant); “Highlights of Europe” (Room 209/Ellie Burns-Brookens); “Study Spanish in Mexico” (Room 302/Cecelia Barry); and “Vietnam: A Country Not at War” (Room 303/Kenneth Cuong La).
