These dance classes are 'all that jazz'

FOREST GROVE, Ore. – Ever wanted to learn how to jazz dance? Now you can. Portland Community College’s Community Education program is offering non-credit Jazz dance classes for beginners and intermediate level dancers. Both classes will be held in Room PAC 127 at Pacific University, 2043 College Way.

In Jazz Dance: Level I, students will get an introduction to Jazz dance from instructor Jennifer Camp. They will learn the fundamental skills to improve flexibility and strength so they can move with ease and grace to gain confidence. The class will run from 7:15 to 8:30 p.m., Mondays, from Sept. 25 through Dec. 4. Cost is $121.

In Jazz Dance: Level II, Camp will focus on an improvement of flexibility and strength through course work taught in more complex movement phrases. Previous dance experience of Jazz I recommended. The class will be offered from 6 to 7:15 p.m., Mondays, Sept. 25 through Dec. 4. Cost is $121.
