Home-schooling issue explored

PORTLAND, Ore. – Come hear the pros and cons of getting started in the realm of home-schooling through a non-credit class at Portland Community College.
Instructor Ann Olson, a mom with seven years of home-school experience and seven years of teaching in public schools, will lead The Decision to Homeschool, a balanced look at home-schooling. Come hear the good and the bad to help you make your decision on whether home-schooling is right for you and your child. Olson will also hand out information on how to get started.
The class will meet from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 26 in Room 114 at Glencoe High School. Cost is $19. For more information, call 503-533-2708.
