Photos and story by

Stephen Wessler, from the Center for the Prevention of Hate Violence, will conduct the ‘Cultivating Respectful School’ workshop, which is designed to help participants understand and address prejudice or bias. He hopes that people will prevent the potential escalation of these feelings to more active forms of discrimination, harassment or even violence in our schools and institutions of higher education.

The workshops will be at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 25 and 1 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 27. Both sessions will be held in Terrell Hall, Room 122, on the Cascade Campus. At Rock Creek, the workshops will be at 10 a.m. on Jan 27 in the Event Center of Building 9, and 9 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 29 in the Forum of Building 3.

To reserve your spot, contact Mandy Ellertson at 503-614-7261 or email at melletso@pcc.edu, or Kendi Esary at 503-978-5781 or email kesary@pcc.edu.
