Students going to New Orleans and Mississippi to provide aid

Students, faculty, staff and the community can help in the fundraising efforts to send PCC students to New Orleans and Mississippi to assist with disaster aid.

Friday, March 9th from 10:30am until 10pm, Baja Fresh (17805 SW 65th Ave on the corner of Lower Boones Ferry Rd and SW 65th) is hosting a fundraiser for PCC Sylvania students going to New Orleans. When ordering state "I want to support PCC Sylvania students going to New Orleans." Baja Fresh will take receipts from specified orders and donate 15% of each sale to the SOS (Send Our Students) fund for trips to New Orleans.

Additionally, PCC Building Construction Technology students and faculty are traveling to Mississippi to assist with rebuilding homes destroyed by Hurricane Katrina. They are going as a part of NW Medical Teams in an effort to assist families return to their homes. They are currently fundraising for their trip and have four beautiful bookcases built by BCT students to raffle ($5 for one ticket, 5 for $20). Buy tickets at Cascade SC 03, Rock Creek ASPCC Student Help Desk in Building 3, SE Center ASPCC Office, and Sylvania ASPCC Office CC 101. Drawing to be held March 23rd.
