Nonviolence, peace issues explored in Cascade workshop

Photos and story by

On Friday, April 6, the Cascade Campus will host the workshop, “Rooted and Grounded in Love,” which will teach the audience how to use verbal nonviolence to confront religious homophobia. The event will be from 1 to 4 p.m. in Terrell 201 and is co-sponsored by the PCC Peace and Conflict Studies program. The event is significant because April 4 marks the 39th Anniversary of the assassination on Martin Luther King.

Come honor him at a workshop teaching verbal nonviolent direct action skills that will help you stay centered in the Truth of your own experience when confronted with bigotry that is justified by religious beliefs.
