Photos and story by James Hill
Steven Ward has accepted the offer as the Rock Creek Campus interim Dean of Instruction. Ward is the division dean of Visual and Performing Arts at the Sylvania Campus.
“Steve has held this leadership position for the past ten years,” said Katherine Persson, Rock Creek Campus president. “Besides having almost three decades of administrative experience, Steve has also been a full time faculty member.”
Ward replaces Reine Thomas, who will leave the post on July 31. Thomas will work with Ward to ensure a smooth transition.
“Congratulations to Rock Creek on the selection of an excellent administrator as your Interim Dean of Instruction,” said Linda Gerber, Sylvania Campus president. “He always brings a spirit of collaboration and humanity to his work. We will miss him very much at Sylvania but are glad that he is only a campus away.”
