PEOPLE AND PLACES: Eshleman takes over new advising post at Sylvania

Lucinda Eshleman is the new academic advising coordinator at the Sylvania Campus. This is a new position associated with the implementation of mandatory advising as part of the college’s new initiative process. Eshleman will work with the Counseling and Advising Department and other departments on the implementation of pre-requisites, mandatory advising, and other activities designed to enhance students’ access and success. She has been an academic advising specialist at PCC for more than 15 years, having an extensive knowledge base of the advising process, student needs, and the college’s courses, programs, degrees, certificates, and transfer opportunities. Congrats to Lucinda!

Salinas is the new Sylvania outreach and orientation coordinator

Teresa Salinas is the new outreach and orientation coordinator for the Sylvania Campus. This shared position between Sylvania and the Extended Learning Campus will be responsible for outreach to prospective student groups and businesses, and coordinate in-person new student orientations. In addition, Salinas will be working with the other outreach coordinators in the district to plan the preview days, Financial Aid Day and other activities. Kudos to Teresa!
