Photos and story by

Student writer Emma Pattee, 17, will showcase her award-winning one-act play at 3 p.m. on Feb. 13 and 14 in the Little Theatre at the Sylvania Campus. It’s part of a fund-raiser for her and fellow students to attend a conference where they will get to perform the play. She wrote a one-act play, "Waiting for Baby James," that has been selected as one of the top-six one acts in the Pacific Northwest by the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival in Wyoming in February. The play, is about a family’s first Thanksgiving after their son has died in Iraq. Everyone involved is a PCC student: the writer, the director, and all the actors.
