Rock Creek students need money for New Orleans relief effort

Photos and story by

A group of Rock Creek Campus students are organizing a trip to New Orleans over Spring Break. They have formed the Katrina Relief Club, which has raised more than $3,500. They plan on raising all funds themselves and still need money to get to Louisiana, where they will spend a week volunteering for Habitat for Humanity. Ace Hardware is supplying necessary tools and all they need is money to pay for tickets and room and board. Deadline is March 21 for fundraising.

To donate to their cause, please call (503) 614-7448.
