Cascade president addresses lockdown

Photos and story by

Dear Cascade Campus Community:

The Campus was briefly placed under lockdown today in response to reports of shots fired off campus. While the campus was never in any immediate danger, Portland Police and PCC Public Safety nonetheless felt it was wise to err on the side of caution. The all-clear was given and the lockdown lifted at approximately 11:20 a.m.

I thank you all for your swift and orderly response to the alarm and lockdown. Again, while there was no immediate danger to the campus, your calm reaction helped ensure everyone’s safety.

Thanks,

Algie …

Algie C. Gatewood, Ed.D.
