Plant Sale benefits student scholarships

Portland Community College’s annual plant sale, which benefits Landscape Technology program students, is back and just in time for spring.

The PCC Plant Sale is from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Wednesday, May 21 through Friday, May 23, Building 4 Greenhouse at the Rock Creek Campus, 17705 Springville Rd. There will be annuals and perennials, vegetable starts, fuchsia and other hanging baskets, tropicals, ground covers, shrubs, trees and overstocked plants for give-away prices. This sale is open to the public. Friday, May 23 will be Red Tag Day where selected plant stock marked with a red tag will be buy one, get one free while supplies last.

Prices include four-inch pots for $1.50, cell-packs (6) for $1.50, six-inch pots for $3, gallon pots for $4 and hanging baskets for $12. Proceeds from the sale go into the Landscape Technology Foundation for endowed scholarships and program supplies and equipment.
