Photos and story by

It’s a critical issue to people everywhere and the Sierra Club is coming to the Sylvania Campus of Portland Community College to raise awareness about it.

The Women’s Resource Center and student government at the college will join representatives from the Sierra Club to host an informative workshop that will connect people to global issues. Topics to be explored include access to health care, accurate information about sex, clean air and water, and global warming solutions.

The event is set for 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Tuesday, May 20, Room 101 of the Science Technology Building, Sylvania Campus. The workshop is designed to unite environmental and reproductive health movements. It is free and open to the public. Representatives with the Sierra Club along with PCC students will raise awareness about access to reproductive health services and youth leadership issues necessary to solve the global environmental challenges.
