Classes show intricacies of digital photos, garden walls

Two Portland Community College non-credit classes will help you print those digital photos and create the garden wall of all garden walls.

In the non-credit class, Digital Fine Art Printing, instructor Ron Kaplan will help students optimize their digital photos to make the best possible inkjet prints. He will cover everything from printers, inks and papers to color management techniques. The class will meet from 7 to 8:50 p.m., Wednesdays, July 2 through Aug. 6, Pine Room, College Center Building, Sylvania Campus, 12000 S.W. 49th Ave. Cost is $69.

Add dazzle to your outdoor living space

Participants in the non-credit class, Dry Stack Stone Wall, will learn through lecture demonstration and hands-on practice the secrets of building a dry stack stone retaining garden wall. Instructor Chris Crawford will provide students with all the knowledge required to build their own English garden walls by the end of summer. The class will meet from 7 to 8:50 p.m., Wednesday, July 2 and 9 a.m. to 4:50 p.m., Saturday, July 12, Cedar Room, College Center Building, Sylvania Campus, 12000 S.W. 49th Ave. Cost is $79.
