As deadlines draw near, here's a creative way to get out the vote

Photos and story by

Guess what, folks: We’re less than a month away from ballots being distributed to your homes. As of today, ballots should go out in 28 days and the election deadline is only 45 days away.

Plus, if you’re not yet registered to vote, that must happen by Tuesday, Oct. 14. I have copies of the state voter registration forms in my office, in both English and Spanish. I can ship them out, in as many as you need, in a heartbeat.

Hey, here’s something else. The brilliant Eloise Holland in our Marketing department figured out how to create a so-called “lock-up” for your e-mail signature. It looks like this:

It’s dead simple to do and directions are available at www.pcc.edu/bond. The ever-helpful Eloise has configured the directions for both Microsoft Outlook 2003 and for the 2007 version. You can put the lock-up after your signature and it will pop up automatically whenever you craft a new e-mail.

Send your feedback to dana.haynes@pcc.edu. And thanks in advance.
