Learn to make your new business work

Do you have your idea for a new business but are having trouble knowing what to do next? This new Portland Community College non-credit class is for you. The course, Going into Business: the First Year, covers permits, locations, marketing, money management, financial statements, establishing your special position in the market and customer service.

The class will meet from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesdays, Oct. 1 through Oct. 29 at the Central Portland Workforce Training Center, 1626 S.E. Water Ave. Cost is $75. For more information, contact the PCC Community Education department at (503) 788-6266.
