Roots of Latin American music to take hold a PCC Sylvania

Mark your calendars for "Latin American Music: Roots and History!” This musical lecture will take place Wednesday, Feb. 25 at 6:30 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center at Sylvania, featuring Freddy Vilches, a Chilean musician and professor of Latin American Literature at Lewis & Clark College. Accompanied by local musicians, Dr. Vilches will share the rich cultural traditions of Latin American music through song and discussion, highlighting how African, Indigenous and European elements are a part of the fabric that is Latin American music.

Thanks to Diversity Council funding, the event is free of charge and open to all PCC faculty, staff and students.
