Germany's Feed-in Tariff explored by expert
Photos and story by James Hill
Bianca Barth is coming to PCC to discuss Germany’s Feed-in Tariff. The tariff is an incentive structure to encourage the adoption of renewable energy through government legislation. The regional or national electricity utilities are obligated to buy renewable electricity at above market rates set by the government to help off set the higher costs of producing renewable energy. Barth specializes on energy policy issues for the World Futures Council, which is headquartered in Berlin.
Her schedule includes:
Cascade Campus: TH 122, Friday, April 3rd, 7pm
Rock Creek Campus: Events Center, Monday, April 6th, 11am
Sylvania Campus: CC Cedar, Monday April 6th, 2:30pm
Her presentations are free and open to students, staff and faculty. For additional information Bianca Barth, visit her biography on the World Futures Council Web site.
