Sylvania Campus played host today to more than 400 Asian-American students from the ninth to the 12th grades, representing communities throughout Oregon and Washington.
The event was the 17th annual Asian American Youth Leadership Conference, which allows high school students an opportunity to gain leadership skills and to work with established Asian-American leaders throughout the community.
This year’s keynote speaker was Kilong Ung, a genocide survivor of the Khmer Rouge and a former Cambodian refugee.
