Machine Manufacturing Tech lets you create your own flashlight

Photos and story by

Staff and faculty can design and assemble their own flashlight from scratch with the help of Pat Kraft and team in the Machine Manufacturing Technology department!. On Wednesday, May 6, from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., the department will host an open house for faculty and staff to visit and make their very own “Mini Mag” flashlights! With assistance from the Engineering department, Machine Manufacturing will guide faculty and staff in creating three metal and plastic parts for flashlights, then installing electronic components and assembling the devices. The entire process takes about 30 minutes.

To RSVP, call (503) 977-8170.
