Budget hearing in Salem rescheduled once again

Photos and story by

The community college budget hearing planned for Thursday, June 10, at the Capitol has been rescheduled to a date as yet undecided.

A spokeswoman for the Oregon Community College Association said the hearing could be moved to Friday or could take place on a rare Saturday or Sunday session at the state Capitol in Salem. The 2009 Legislature is due to come to a close some time in June.

A strong showing of community college faculty, staff and students will be critical. PCC officials will post the time and date of the hearing once it is known, and will encourage PCC personel to attend.
