PCC art instructors create video on three local art legends
Photos and story by James Hill
Did you know that Pacific Northwest College of Art is turning 100 this year? And that PCC has a strong connection to PNCA? In addition to several art acquisitions by PNCA faculty emeritus that are scheduled for installation on the Rock Creek Campus this summer, PCC faculty has produced a series of videos profiling PNCA faculty, and this film will debut as part of Portland Art Museum’s “PNCA at 100” exhibition that will run through the summer.
This film will screen for the first time at 7 p.m., Thursday, July 16 at the museum.
“Visiting Artist – In the studio,” a series of films produced by Portland Community College, documents three former Pacific Northwest College of Art faculty members, all established Northwest masters with accomplished bodies of work and distinguished teaching careers, at work in their studios. It features Eunice Parsons, Harry Widman and George Johanson.
