Photos and story by James Hill
Erin Stanforth has been picked to be the next Rock Creek Sustainability Practices Coordinator. Stanforth has worked for the college for the past year in a variety of roles and holds a bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a concentration in Sustainable Development and a minor in Anthropology from Appalachian State University in Boone, N.C.
She has already been working at the campus fulfilling some of the duties of the Sustainable Practices Coordinator for the college. She has maintained and further developed the vermi-composting loop, increasing the campus’ recycling efforts and coordinating the Learning Garden. She has also instilled a post-consumer composting system, increased the size of the Learning Garden and assisted with establishing a new course based on environmental sustainability.
Welcome to Erin!
