Nursing students host Haunted Hospital in HT Building on Oct. 31
Photos and story by James Hill
PCC’s chapter of the National Student Nurses Association is putting together the fourth annual Haunted Hospital, which is a fun, educational and scary day focused on promoting health and safety for children – just in time for Halloween!
Open to the public, the event will take place Saturday, Oct. 31 from noon to 5 p.m., at the Sylvania Campus in HT 217. The nursing lab is transformed into a frightful hospital, complete with slime and scary-looking patients in need of care and there to scare!
The cost is $4 per person or $3 per person with one can or box of a non-perishable food item. Those with PCC identification cards: bring them and receive $1 off. PCC students, faculty and staff – bring your families, and your ID cards, and pay only $5 total.
All proceeds help support PCC’s chapter of the NSNA for its community outreach efforts throughout the year; food collected that day will be given to the Oregon Food Bank. For more information, contact Liz McPhee, president of PCC’s NSNA chapter, at lizzymcphee@gmail.com.
