Extended Learning Campus’ Black History events set

The Extended Learning Campus is celebrating Black History with scheduled events at the Portland Metro Workforce Training Center in North Portland (N.E. 42nd and Killingsworth St.). All of the discussions will take place in the center’s auditorium in Building 2. Refreshments will be served.

The Black History Month events, which are from noon to 1 p.m., will be focused on movies with discussions following. They will be held every Wednesday starting Feb 3 and ending Feb. 24. A special Black History Month evening discussion will start at 5:30 p.m., Feb. 24. It will include a keynote speaker, panel discussion, student essay winners, African dancers, vendors, buffet dinner, and more.
