“Heart Beat,” a free and open-to-the-public health fair, took place Feb. 9 at the Sylvania Campus and attracted hundreds of attendees. Several of the college’s allied health departments joined forces to celebrate ways to gain and maintain heart health. These included free blood pressure screenings, fitness technology testing and the Waist-Hip ratio, information on cardiac rehabilitation, the impact of diet and exercise on heart health and smoking cessation, among other activities.
