The 2010 Cascade Job Fair linked 1,300 job-seekers to more than 50 employers on April 27 at the Cascade Campus gymnasium, 705 N. Killingsworth St. Plus, the fair showcased nearly all of PCC’s 80 professional technical programs.
The 13th job fair attracts a diverse crowd seeking employment. Many are between ages 23 and 34 and one fifth are African American. With enrollment surging by 20 percent this spring at PCC, the job fair was a way for students retraining or completing their degree to connect with companies.
The Cascade gym was alive with the sound of job-seeking. The job fair has become an important link for the community to find employment.
