Photos and story by

Rock Creek Campus Community Relations Manager Meryl Lipman dressed up as organic corn on the cob during the Earth Day festivities Saturday, April 24 at the Rock Creek Campus, 17705 N.W. Springville Road. The festival highlights included an earthen oven demonstration, invasive plant removal, wildflower walk and tours of the Rock Creek loop system, known for its vermi-composting bin (red worms).

During the Friday, April 23 Green Carpet Fashion Show at the campus theater (The Forum), a family shows off recycled clothing for a wedding party. The event featured clothing creations made entirely of recycled materials like newspapers, trash bags, cans, plastic, duct tape and parachute material.
